Roberto Santiago

October 15, 1945 — March 18, 2025

Philadelphia, Pa

Roberto Santiago, a devoted father and passionate person, was born on October 15, 1945 in Guanica, Puerto Rico. He departed this life on March 18, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Roberto was known for his hard work and dedication—a trait that he embodied throughout his life. He took immense joy in his hobbies and interests, notably singing and playing the guitar, which brought melodies to many hearts in Puerto Rico in his youth during Christmas Time. Roberto had a love for cooking, and it was in the kitchen where he often expressed his creativity and warmth. An avid baseball fan and player, he enjoyed watching and playing baseball games and sharing that love of the sport with those around him. He even had a chance to play with the New York Yankees when he was younger but family obligations kept him from moving forward. Additionally, Roberto loved repairing his own cars and educated his immediate family about cars and mechanics, and importantly, instilling in them the proper use of tools. The most important part is his acceptance to God and his faith to be resurrected on his coming.

His nurturing spirit extended far beyond his immediate family; to many, he was not just a father but a “daddy,” offering guidance, love, and support to all who needed it.
Roberto’s legacy is one of love, passion, and generosity—a life well-lived and deeply cherished by those fortunate enough to know him.

Roberto is survived by his wife, Evelyn, who stood by his side throughout their life’s journey. The family feels a profound sense of loss with the passing of Roberto, especially as he was preceded in death by his immediate family son, Joseph. From a previous marriage, Roberto leaves behind five children who reside in Florida, each carrying forward his legacy and cherished memories.
