Obituary
It is with great sadness that we are gathered here today to honor the life of Richard Paul Weiss, who passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 65, in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
Richard was born on February 5th, 1959 to the late Alan and the late Doris Weiss in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He was the brother of Steven Weiss. After graduating from Lower Moreland High School, Richard furthered his education at Pennsylvania State University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
Richard put his time and effort into all kinds of jobs, including photo journalism for formal events, and magic shows, which he had a love for.
After graduation, he went on to work for the United States Postal Service, kickstarting a 40 year career.
Rich spent his days doing what he loved with the people he loved. He participated in ping pong tournaments, rekindled his love for the clarinet, joined Cairn University’s Wind Ensemble, and explored new cities and locations with his wife.
He had an incredible talent for writing, leaving behind several poems, and 2 wonderful novels. He utilized this talent often to create and revise resumes for clients.
Rich had an infectious, joyful spirit. His wit and humor always put smiles on the faces of those who were around him. He will be truly missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Lidia Weiss, his brother Steven Weiss, his daughter Sara Thompson, his son Scott Weiss, his step-daughters Tammy Toska, Gabrielle DiEmma, Judy Sanchez, and Julyanna Medvetz, his step-son Daniel Toska, his grandson Morgan Thompson, and his step-grandchildren Isaiah Langley and Malayah Mercado. He also leaves cherished memories to his niece Natalie Weiss.
