For over 27 years, Maria served as a cherished block captain, demonstrating her commitment to the neighborhood by organizing summer lunches for local children and offering spiritual guidance to anyone willing to listen. Her compassion extended beyond her immediate circle, as she frequently visited neighbors to gather donations for sanitation workers and mail carriers, highlighting her belief in supporting all who served the community.
Maria's involvement with the Fishtown Brewing community reunions exemplified her desire to connect with others, strengthening bonds and creating a supportive atmosphere for families in her area. Her tireless efforts to enact positive change will leave a lasting impact on the lives of those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
Maria’s visitation services will be held at Compagnola Funeral Home- 5th St. in Philadelphia. The first visitation will take place on March 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by another visitation on March 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial service will proceed at Magnolia Cemetery, beginning at 11:15 AM on the same day.
