Our beautiful, sweet Julio was the strongest soul we have ever known. He had lifelong physical and cognitive challenges. Julio loved hugs, kisses, music and musical trinkets. His smile brought joy to our lives for 42 years. His quiet strength and resilience will serve as our lifelong inspiration and his smile will forever be etched in our memories.
He is survived by his mother Rosa E. Cruz who dedicated her life to lovingly providing him meticulous personal and medical care, his brother Roberto U. Cruz, his sister Liz Fine and her husband Jon and his sister Maria D. Cruz. He is the primary influence for his sister Maria’s work as a nurse. Nieces Moriah, Mia, nephews Jesse, Nate, Noah and Roberto Jr., Romeo and Great niece Emma Grace and Great nephew on the way Levi.
Our hearts are fully broken and at the same time we are thankful that he is not suffering. We thank the many healthcare professionals for their dedicated efforts in providing Julio with compassionate health care and for so often affectionately supporting his mother and family.
We patiently look forward to the day when you will welcome us at the gates of heaven and to see you walk over, to hear you say “welcome!” and to see your beautiful smile again.
