Jose Ramon Malavè

Jose Ramon Malavè, a steadfast and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 90. Born on January 8, 1935, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Jose brought warmth and vibrancy to the lives of those around him.

A hard-working and fun-loving family man, Jose was known for his cheerful demeanor and the way he engaged with his neighbors. Often seen waving at people passing by his house, he created an atmosphere of friendliness and openness that enriched his neighborhood. His dedication to family and community was a testament to his character, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jose is survived by his loving spouse, Ana, who stood by him through all walks of life. The couple shared a deep bond that reflected their commitment to one another and to their family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects during a visitation at Compagnola Funeral Home on North 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA, on February 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A prayer service will follow at 10:30 AM. Jose will then be laid to rest at Greenmount Cemetery at 12:15 PM.
