Carmen R. Cintron

Carmen R. Cintron, a beloved member of our community, passed away peacefully on November 11 2024, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 90. Born on May 10, 1934, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Carmen's journey through life was marked by her spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Her life was a tapestry woven with kindness and compassion. She carried the warmth of her Puerto Rican roots into every aspect of her life, bringing joy to those around her. She became a cherished presence in the lives of many, embodying grace and resilience. Carmen's laughter and light-heartedness were the glue that held her family and friends together, creating beautiful memories that will never fade.

In celebration of her life, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation held at Compagnola Funeral Home on North 5th Street in Philadelphia on November 17, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Following this, another opportunity to honor Carmen's memory will take place on November 18, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Holy Innocents Church, leading into a special Mass at 10:00 AM.

The final resting place for Carmen will be at Greenmount Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest following the burial service at 11:30 AM on November 18, 2024. Here, surrounded by the love she radiated throughout her life, we will say our goodbyes, cherishing the beautiful imprint she left on our hearts.

Carmen R. Cintrón, un querido miembro de nuestra comunidad, falleció pacíficamente el 11 de noviembre de 2024 en Filadelfia, Pensilvania, a la edad de 90 años. Nacida el 10 de mayo de 1934 en San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, el viaje de Carmen por la vida estuvo marcado por su espíritu y su amor inquebrantable por su familia y amigos. 

Su vida era un tapiz tejido con bondad y compasión. Llevó la calidez de sus raíces puertorriqueñas a todos los aspectos de su vida, llevando alegría a quienes la rodeaban. Se convirtió en una presencia apreciada en la vida de muchos, encarnando la gracia y la resiliencia. La risa y la ligereza de Carmen fueron el pegamento que mantuvo unida a su familia y amigos, creando hermosos recuerdos que nunca se desvanecerán.

En celebración de su vida, se invita a familiares y amigos a presentar sus respetos durante el velorio que se llevará a cabo en la Funeraria Compagnola en North 5th Street en Filadelfia el 17 de noviembre de 2024, de 3:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m. Después de esto, otra oportunidad para honrar la memoria de Carmen tendrá lugar el 18 de noviembre, de 9:00 a.m. a 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia de los Santos Inocentes, antes de una misa especial a las 10:00 a.m. 

El lugar de descanso final de Carmen será en el cementerio de Greenmount, donde será enterrada después del servicio de entierro a las 11:30 a.m. del 18 de noviembre de 2024. Aquí, rodeados del amor que irradió a lo largo de su vida, nos despediremos, atesorando la hermosa huella que dejó en nuestros corazones.
