Carmen Canales

Carmen Canales, a loving mother and a cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 12 2024, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on May 21, 1957, in Morovis, Puerto Rico, Carmen's life was a testament to kindness and generosity.

Throughout her life, she embodied the true spirit of motherhood, always prioritizing the well-being of her family and extending her warmth to everyone she encountered. Carmen was not only dedicated to her five children, including 2 daughter in laws and 2 son in laws, but was also deeply committed to her seven siblings. As a nurturing figure, she found profound joy in the company of her 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, leaving a lasting legacy of love and support that will not be forgotten.

Carmen is survived by her beloved husband, Jesus, who stood by her side through life’s journey. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her, as they reflect on the countless ways she touched their lives.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will take place on October 21, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 1:00 PM at Compagnola Funeral Home located at 4405-07 North 5th St., Philadelphia, PA. Following the visitation, a burial service will be held at Greenmount Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

Carmen Canales will be deeply missed, yet the love she shared and the lives she touched will remain forever vibrant in the memories of all who had the privilege to know her.
