Candido Vega Baez, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on November 26th, 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born on September 4th, 1960 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Candido led a vibrant life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Candido had a zest for life that was truly infectious. He had an unwavering passion for playing dominos and spent countless hours engaged in friendly competitions with his loved ones. Candido's enthusiasm for the game brought people together, creating bonds and forging lasting friendships. His infectious laughter and competitive spirit brightened many gatherings.

When he wasn't immersed in a game of dominos, Candido loved to go fishing. The tranquility of being out on the water allowed him to connect with nature and find solace in its beauty. Fishing was not just a hobby for Candido; it was his way of finding inner peace and reflection. His patience paid off as he'd come home with tales of his adventures and often a prized catch to share among family and friends.

Another passion that brought immense joy to Candido's life was raising roosters (gallos). He possessed a deep understanding and appreciation for these magnificent creatures. His dedication to their care revealed his nurturing spirit and love for nature's remarkable creations.

Candido touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, and warm smile. He had an innate ability to uplift those around him, making them feel valued and loved. His positive outlook on life inspired others to embrace each day with gratitude and optimism.

The memory of Candido will live on forever through the love he shared with his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, relatives, and numerous friends who were blessed to have him as a part of their lives.

The services to honor and celebrate Candido's life will be held at the Compagnola Funeral Home on 5th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on December 8th, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until noon. Following the visitation, Candido will be laid to rest at the Greenmount Cemetery on Front Street in Philadelphia at 12:30 PM.
