Angel Manuel Davila Sr.

Philadelphia, Pa

Angel Manuel Davila Sr. was born on February 5, 1945 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico where he was raised. His parents, Juana Colon and Miguel Angel Davila, hail from Barrio Pugnado Afuera, Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. He met his wife Doris Cordero Colon Martinez in his native town, and they married on June 6, 1964. His trade and work was as a tailor and presser for twenty years. Later, Ángel worked in the Septa railway division until he reached full retirement age. He sadly passed away on May 7, 2023, at 78 years of age due to cancer of the esophagus.

Angel and Doris founded a beautiful family together. His survivors are his children, Angel Jr., Lourdes Maria, Luis Angel, and his first granddaughter, Natalia, who is a daughter to him. His grandchildren are, Jesenia, Amaryllis, Angel III, Samantha, Alanise, Gina and step grandson Mylan. His great grandchildren are Mackenzie, Uriyah, Christabella, Franklin, and Shesly.

Angel led an admirable life. He was honest and an example to his family. He taught his children to love and serve God in his Baptist faith. We are sure that today he is in the Kingdom of Heaven.

A service and funeral for family and guests in celebration and memory of the life of our father and Doris's husband will be held in his honor on May 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Compagnola Funeral Home at 4405 N. 5th St.

Angel Manuel Davila Sr. nació el 5 de Febrero de 1945 en Vega Baja, Puerto Rico donde se crió. Sus padres, Juana Colon y Miguel Angel Davila,  procedentes del Barrio Pugnado Afuera, Vega Baja,  Puerto Rico. El conocio a su esposa Doris Cordero Colon Martinez en su pueblo nativo, y contrajo matrimonio el 6 Junio del 1964. Su oficio y trabajó fue como sastre y prensador por Viente años. Luego Ángel trabajo en la división ferroviaria de la Septa hasta alcanzar la plena edad de jubilación. Tristemente falleció el 7 de Mayo del 2023, a los 78 años de edad por cáncer de esófago. 

Ángel y Doris comenzaron una nueva vida en Filadelfia y fundaron juntos una hermosa familia. Sus sobrevivientes son sus hijos Ángel Jr., Lourdes María, Luis Ángel y su primera nieta, Natalia, quien es una hija para él. Sus nietos son Jesenia, Amaryllis, Angel III, Samantha, Alanise, Gina y su nieto Mylan. Sus bisnietos son Mackenzie, Uriyah, Shesly, Christabella, Franklin y sus bisnietas, Briella y Michaela.

Ángel llevó una vida admirable. Vivió su vida con integridad, honestidad y fue un verdadero ejemplo para su familia. Enseñó a sus hijos a amar y servir a Dios en su fe bautista. Estamos seguros que hoy está en el Reino de los Cielos.

Un servicio y funeral para familia y invitados en celebracion y memoria de la vida de nuestro padre y esposo de Doris se llevará a cabo en su honor en Mayo 15, 2023, a las 10:30 a.m. en Compagnola Funeral Home en el 4405 N. 5th St.
